Ghosts aren’t real

So every day when I’m home I stream a sports show hosted by Erik Ainge and Brian Rice [Enter their sponsored show here] via an app on my phone (What the hell, also Not A Sponsor!) Today I was in my office getting busy putting together my sports bets for the weekend. Here they are. I was listening through the sound bar that was connected via bluetooth to my phone.

It was a good show. I’ve considered calling in a few times to tell them when they’re wrong but I never do. So back to the story. Show ends. I close the App and decide to move around a little bit before I get bed sores from sitting too long. About an hour later I sit on the couch in the living room. Like most time wasting adults, I scroll through Facebook for a little bit. At that moment I hear a lady talking loudly in my house. Like, legitimately sounded like she was in my house. I get up and walk around. Peak outside to see if the neighbors are standing irresponsibly close to my house. Nothing. Laborers? Nope. No one is even close to my house.

I eventually let my guard down and I walk back to the living room because ghosts aren’t real. I sit down and open up Facebook again. (At this moment, I haven’t yet hit that window where I frantically clean the house before my wife comes home). This time I hear a heckle! A freaking Heckle!!! First instinct was to run through the glass sliders, not even opening them, into the backyard and never look back. Then I realized I wouldn’t have time to grab my phone charger, so might as well face my fears.

I suspiciously and bravely inspected the house and to my relief, no evil clowns. While in my office, I noticed the sound bar above the desk in my office was lit up. Wait a minute. The bluetooth on my phone was still on. Turns out, everything was paired. When I opened up Facebook on my phone, a video of some people pranking people was apparently on my timeline. The heckle, though skin crawling was just a lady laughing like she just got the last Mountain Dew at an Alabama truck stop. I’m just glad ghosts aren’t real.
