The Boxing Truth

Malignaggi is a good boxer known for his lack of power. He has just 7 career KOs for a whopping 17% KO ratio. He pretty much aims to outpoint his opponent over 12 rounds and win a decision. Garcia is a very good young champion that has been criticized for at times going up against unknown opponents. He does have some victories against big names though. He beat Zab Judah and Lucas Matthysse in decisions and knocked out Erik Morales and Amir Khan.  He has shown that he has one punch KO power but only has a career KO ratio at 57%.  Most of his KOs are highlight reel type KOs. He also loves to fight at the Barclays Center where he is 4-0.

I think Garcia can stop Paulie here. Paulie sticks and moves but it’s extremely hard to do that for 12 rounds when you have no power behind your punches. Once Danny feels his power (or lack thereof), he will realize that he doesn’t need to respect it and he will become ultra aggressive. I see a late round stoppage. The problem is that the line came at 9.5 rounds.  So I will take DANNY GARCIA TO WIN INSIDE THE DISTANCE at -140. This line can be found at 5Dimes.  I’ll be still looking out for a points handicap to show up. If that shows up at anything under -12 for Garcia I’ll be on that as well.
