A Sports Bettors Recap: June

At the end of every month, I like to send my premium members a little monthly recap.  It’s usually me trying to just make excuses and talk them into hanging around.  For now on, I’m going to write a little recap with for the Internet world to see.  Recaps and record keeping are a great resource for all sports bettors.

I consider June my best month of the year.  It wasn’t the most productive but it didn’t include any terrible streaks.  I’ve won more units in a month but they’ve heavily relied on big weeks that were followed by embarrassing weeks.  June was just imageone steady grind.

June Highlights

  • Total Record: 60-46-8
  • Total Profit: +24.25*
  • Best Streak: 5 days (6/18-6/22)
  • Worst Streak: 3 days (6/12-6/14)
  • Mondays went 13-5 for +12.3*
  • Won 18 days; lost 9 days; 3 break even days

WEEK ONE

June started off pretty awesome as we hit our first and only 3* play of the MLB season.  The Astros gave us a good head start on what turned into a very profitable month.  A few days later we had our first painful beat of the month as we lost a 2* under in the NBA Finals as the Cavs and Warriors went into OT.  On July 7th, we got a break.  If I had a bad day, we would have lost the week.  Well it looked like an 0-2 start before the Red Sox scored 7 in the bottom of the 8th to cover a -1.5 spread. That scare made me a little gun shy as I downgraded the next play, which won.  At least we won the day and the week.

WEEK TWO

Week 2 of the month started VERY well.  Going into Friday, we were 8-3-1 for 7.85* and hadn’t lost a day since the previous Saturday.  That Friday was not very pretty and neither was the rest of the weekend.  Over the next three days we went 3-8 for -6.7*.  That included two small sweeps and another heartbreaking beat on an NBA under.  That left us 11-11-1 for +1.15* on the week.  Hey, we lived to pay the bookie another day.

WEEK THREE

The third week of June I felt like I started hitting my stride.  Even though we had only lost 2 weeks since April, I wasn’t very satisfied up to that point.  Even though we lost two of the first three days, I was never really concerned.  Going into Thursday up less than a unit, we won every day for the rest of the week.  We ended with another positive week, going 17-14-3 for +7.35*.

WEEK FOUR

The last full week of June went very well but also had a very embarrassing moment.  So embarrassing that I kept it to myself for a few days.  Nothing spectacular or dreadful happened this week, just sheer consistent winners.  We had a small win Monday but lost it all and a little more on Tuesday.  We owned the rest of the week though. On Saturday I played the Yankees and won.  The next day I capped the Yankees again but decided to bet the Astros.  The Astros won a close game.  The bad news is that I had the Yankees on my mind and somehow bet and posted them as the play. I didn’t even realize it until a member asked me why I was hoping the Astros could hold the lead.  Boy was my face read.  That made Sunday my second losing day of the week, as we went 1-1 for -.1*.  All in all, it was another successful week: 12-7-3 (+6.55*).

The first two days of the next week were the last two days of June.  We owned them too as we closed June out with authority!  They combined to go 7-3-1 for +4.85*.

I hope your June was as good as mine!
